Simone Rocha Brings Whimsy to London Fashion Week With Embroidered Eyebrows

A closer look at the beaded, floral brow moment stealing the show at SS27.

Eyebrows got a full redesign at Simone Rocha’s Spring/Summer 2027 show at London Fashion Week, and not in the usual brow-lamination, brow-gel sense. Models walked with tiny embroidered appliqués placed directly over their brows, made up of bugle beads, reflective details, and thread-like textures shaped into miniature floral patches.

The effect landed somewhere between makeup, jewelry, and textile work, more like a piece of embellishment lifted straight off the runway’s fabric and pressed onto the skin.

A Softer Palette Than You’d Expect

Despite the intricate construction, the brow pieces avoided anything harsh or metallic. Ivory, champagne, blush, peach, and pale nude tones gave the look a delicate quality instead of a costume-y one, which fits the collection’s whole mood.

Makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver, working with Byredo, kept everything else on the face deliberately restrained: fresh, natural skin, mostly bare eyes with a touch of shimmer, and soft, occasionally red lips. That restraint elsewhere is exactly what let the embroidered brows read as the statement, rather than getting lost in a busier overall look.

It’s Part of a Bigger Pattern for the Brand

Simone Rocha’s SS27 collection leaned into romance, texture, and embellished surfaces throughout, with sheer fabrics, floral references, and intricate detailing across the clothes themselves.

The brand described the collection in its own release as “a pure and unapologetic celebration…of the beautiful,” and the brows read as a direct extension of that idea rather than a beauty gimmick tacked on separately.

This isn’t new territory for Rocha, either. Her SS26 show played with petal-shaped lip looks, so the SS27 brows feel like the same instinct evolving into an even more literal piece of embroidery on the body.

Why This One Might Get Copied

Runway beauty moments often stay exactly where they started—dramatic, unwearable, built for a single walk down a runway. This one, though, has a shot at trickling into how people get ready—not so much as a literal beaded brow appliqué for daily life, but as permission to treat a single feature as the moment, while keeping everything else on the face understated.
