Crystal Eyes Took Center Stage at Dior Cruise 2027

The perfect touch to Jonathan Anderson’s debut cruise show.

Dior’s 2027 Cruise show unfolded this past week inside the new wing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), where the atmosphere felt equal parts exhibition opening and movie premiere. As guests and artists took in the architecture of the room and the fashion itself, for the beauty lover, all eyes were also on what would set the glam tone for J. W. Anderson’s debut cruise presentation.

From a beauty-lover’s vantage point, the standout was the embellished eye story curated by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director of Dior Beauty Makeup. With crystallized eyes as the main feature on select looks, the rest of the face stayed intentionally fresh.

The result? Radiant, luminous skin with a hint of dazzle that lived along the lash lines.

That balance echoed the show’s theme, which nodded to Anderson’s love for cinema and Los Angeles, and it also felt akin to the cult-loved crystal looks that have defined recent pop-culture beauty moments that took place on the West Coast. Still, Philips’ version carried a distinct Dior signature: polished placement, refined shine, and a palette-forward finish grounded in Diorshow 5 Couleurs.

How to Get the Look at Home:

  • Eyeshadow base

  • Crystal detailing

    • Use small face-safe crystals or rhinestones to trace the lash line or place at the outer corner.

    • Look for “face gems” or “rhinestone stickers” on Amazon, and opt for smaller sizes for a more “editorial” effect. We recommend these.

  • Placement and finish tips

    • Keep your base light so the eyes stay the focal point.

    • Add a bit of shimmer eyeshadow only along the lash line, then press crystals in while the area is slightly tacky.

    • Finish with mascara to give the crystals a finished look.
